• Theory and practice of remote sensing by satellites and aircraft in the visible, infrared, and microwave portions of the spectrum. Problem-oriented course emphasizing the application of image processing software and techniques to digital satellite imagery.

GEOG 690J (In Progress)

• This course is a foundation course in the history, theory, and application of GIScience. Focuses on the concepts and procedures used in discovering and applying the spatial relationships within and among spatial phenomena. Enterprise and Open-Source Geographic Information System (GIS) software packages will be used to perform a variety of spatial analyses, including vector and raster analyses.

GEOG 600 (In Progress)

• Analysis of the trends in the theories, methods, and problems pertinent to contemporary geography, including a review of the skills required for geographical research, analysis, and writing.

GEOG 690A (In Progress)

• Examines the legal, regulatory, and ethical frameworks that govern the collection, analysis, storage, licensing, and distribution of geospatial information.
