• Identified wildlife and human traffic data from trail camera images for ecological research and wildlife conservation, which also contributed to training an AI image recognition model to expedite data processing
• Utilized GIS to interpret wildlife movement patterns, habitat ranges, and human-wildlife interactions/conflict
• Created an informational guide detailing the project’s GIS workflows, teaching current and future research assistants how to visualize mountain lion habitat ranges and movement patterns
• Compiled California NAIP imagery metadata for use in machine learning processes analyzing buffer zones and defensible space’s effects on structure damage from wildfires
• Created GIS maps to visualize wildfire spread and structural damage in California, as well as creating shapefiles of the wildfires' ranges
• Uploaded created convex hull shapefiles to EarthExplorer to filter out irrelevant or unnecessary NAIP imagery
• Coded scripts to compile data more efficiently and scrape data from EarthExplorer
